How could you make it worse?
We often work with teams or individuals who have got stuck, run out of ideas or cannot get past the same old problems. This is a magical technique that turns thinking upside down and releases your hidden creativity. But it doesn’t work unless you do it.
Consider some problem, issue or challenge that is facing you right now. Now ask yourself, how could you make it worse? How could you really, really mess it up? How could you ensure that it blows out of all proportion? (here comes the magic part…) Now WRITE IT DOWN and carry on writing until you have a perfect description of how to make it all much, much worse!
When you do this, something wonderful will happen…and please mail and tell us what happened. Remember, it won’t work unless you do it just as described above.
